Green, Sporty, Portable

The brief was to design a very simple, cost effective experience that could travel all around Tamil Nadu, India, where the bike was developed. This was a part of a small marketing stint that we at 404DM were going to execute right before the official launch of the sports e-bike.

The experience also had to include on-road advertising installation on a TATA Ace van. As Senior Visualizer, I was in charge of conceptualizing the entire project and creating supporting assets and schematics.

Conceptual Development

On discussing with the client, we decided that it was best to place the main exhibit inside a 8'x8.5'x20' shipping container, so it can be carried and around and placed in big, busy, open parking lots. We also wanted the bike to be paraded around the city, which is where the TATA Ace comes in, it's an open tempo traveler that can be used for these purposes.

The concept of the shipping container experience revolved around ''Green'' elements such as adding a backlit green wall inside the structure, hidden speakers that played sounds of the forests as these bikes were going to be marketed as the ideal 'road trip e-bike' that people would generally take to hills up to a point and then hike. This also sparked the idea of using road signage inside the structure and contour maps as patterns on the exterior of the container.

Further development would include the usage of solar panels to power the lights and ventilation.
