A luxury resort project on the coasts of Chennai, India.
The Uthandi Resort was a high end project based on the coast of Chennai. The site had a completed community hall as a part of this project as well, acting as a springboard for the aesthetic of the rooms. The use of WOOD, NEUTRAL TONES and OPULENT LIGHTING had to be dominant. There were a total of 3 concepts proposed.
The main challenge in this project was that the size of the rooms was only 135sqft and the client was particular about including a king size bed in the design. The design had to be luxurious, yet cost effective as this was the treatment for a total of 20 rooms in the property.
Effective spatial planning to accommodate the luggage storage and powder room in the main bedroom, use sliding doors between rooms and use luxury marble textured wallpapers for a luxurious, opulent look.
